EODD Book

EODD book stands for every other day diet book and, as it turns out, there are two EODD Books out there.  There is the EODD Book by Jon Benson titled The Every Other Day Diet and it is an ebook offered through Click Bank.  Then there is the EODD Book by John T. Daugirdas titled The QOD Diet: Eating Well Every Other Day and it is offered in book stores and Amazon.  In this short article we will compare the two.

Fasting

In Jon Benson’s EODD book, Every Other Day Diet, you never actually fast.  The name refers to calorie cycling where you eat every other day, but you eat differently every other day, varying your caloric intake to keep your metabolism from stalling out your weight loss.

In John T. Daugirdas EODD book, The QOD Diet you actually fast every other day.  The fast days do allow you about 300 to 400 calories for that day.  In effect you cut your weekly calorie intake in half.

Nutrition

In Jon Benson’s EODD book, Every Other Day Diet, nutrition is a premium.  There is a lot of time spent on why you have gained weight and how, by working with the body’s natural processes, you can lose that weight and maintain it for life.

In John T. Daugirdas EODD book, The QOD Diet, nutrition is basically limited to how good fasting is for you and what you can do to make your fast days easier.  John is a retired kidney specialist and he uses this knowledge to help you with fast days.

Weigh Loss Premise

The premise of each EODD book are similar and that is, you can vary your calorie intake on a weekly basis by eating more calories on somedays and less on others, but the total calorie intake for the week will be reduced.  So instead of looking at lowering you calories on a daily basis, you look at it from a weekly basis.  This makes these EODD Books unique. This uniqueness means that there are at least certian days where you could eat just like you did before you began dieting and still lose weight.

In Jon Benson’s EODD book, Every Other Day Diet, you have one free eating day a week and on the rest of the days there are certian comfort foods allowed to help vary the calorie count each day.

In John T. Daugirdas EODD book, The QOD Diet, you eating normally every other day as a way to vary your caloric intake.

Maintanance

In Jon Benson’s EODD book, Every Other Day Diet, there are 5 different plans so people can find a lifstyle plan that fits them.  These plans are not only for longterm weight loss but lifetime maintenance.

In John T. Daugirdas EODD book, The QOD Diet, there is no specific maintenance plan other than fasting every other day.

Doability

John T. Daugirdas EODD book, The QOD Diet, is a fascinating idea since scientists know that intermittent fasting is linked to longevity, but in practicality you have to have a bit of a monk in you to pull it off and indeed Daugridas does emphasize the spirituality of fasting to a great degree in his EODD book.  The fasting days are very hard to get used to, but if you can, you just might enjoy reading this book and putting it into practice.

Jon Benson’s EODD book, Every Other Day Diet, on the other hand is a very doable diet and lifestyle since you never have to really fast.  It also has many different plans to fit your lifestyle, eating habits and schedule.  This includes a 21 pounds in 21 days quick start scripted diet that comes with Jon’s EODD book.  If you don’t want to fast and like flexibility in your diet program than you should give The Every Other Day Diet
