You might be wondering what I mean by e-hooks? Well it simply means getting hooked up socially on the internet via social sites like myspace.com and others. Now to the concept of making e-book to suit e-hooks; social dating sites like hi5.com, facebook.com, and the most popular of them all, myspace.com: are social sites where you can get this idea into full swing; when you sign up for membership of these sites, you get to meet social friends daily.
Like yesterday I met a very good friend on myspace.com, fortunately for me, we share so many thing in common; like she is a stickler for doing things right, she loves writing just like me, and the most amazing thing about this new friend is that she loves football passionately just like me. With such a friend, you develop a very good relationship through e-mail, chatting online and offline or even speaking on the telephone, amazing isn’t. As the relationship develops, trust also comes in. this is where you come in with your product, your e-book. Protracted interactions with your community help you identify the problem of each of them, and basically almost all of them have similar problems: problems like ‘how do I get my first check doing online biz?’ how do I get a cheap design and hosting service for my website?’ how do I break up, get a divorce and maintain my sanity?’ how do I become an internet guru?’ what are the best sites that discusses golf, football etc?’ ‘What is the meaning of RSS feeds how to get an RSS hosted on my site and what do I do with it? ‘Why should I write articles/e-books?’ The list is endless, and to these notable friends, these problems look colossal; but as a dependable friend they look up to you for help, as no better person to help them get their problems over than a social friend. Now the question is, ‘how do I help these friends?’ simply pick up a particular niche, study it, make researches, note your observations and demystify the problem.
Next, gather all you have observed and noted down, compile them to look comprehensive and your e-book is ready. I don’t need to go into the specifics of getting an e-book ready for publication; however, if you need this info; hit any search engine yahoo, google, MSN etc, on the search template type ‘making e-books’ or any other search pattern related to your search. You will get loads of info on the subject matter; you can get a deluge of articles discussing this topic on this site or any other article board. Now, your e-book is ready for distribution, and to do this you don’t rush things. Remember, you’ve built a high level of trust between you and your social friends, and this is not the most suitable time to advertise your e-book for sale, so my best advice to you at this point is to do what I will do. 2) It also gives you a professional look, as you are now viewed as an expert on the niche you have chosen to demystify From the above points you will notice that your profile rises and this go a long way to make you more dependable and sought for by these friends, as they won’t consider it a bad investment to part with some extra dollars for your next project (e-book) as announced in your free e-boo .
Remember, in your free e-book, whet their appetite, withhold some salient details, give them free links that links back to your webpage if they want to read more, this helps in building constant traffic for your site. In so doing, you not only solve their problems, but you send more money into your bank account while having fun.
